4. The Script Is Bad...

Jurassic World is not a bad film at all, but it is poorly written in many ways. This no doubt comes from how many people contributed to writing it and how many different creative visions were vying for control.

As previously mentioned, this film is filled to the brim with sexism, plot holes and dumb decisions but the writing problems go further than that. As much fun as the film often is, the dialogue is corny, the characters are mostly flat and the film is full of irritating cliches (evil businessmen, the central romance, the parents getting a divorce etc).

People who dislike Jurassic World have made many valid criticisms and this film did make quite a few unfortunate errors in the writing stages. In other words, the pre-production stage didn't go so well. As for the rest of the production...
