13 Truly Heartbreaking Facts About Film In 2015

6. Pixels & Hitman: Agent 47 Continue Hollywood's Disrespect Of Video Games

Everybody knows that video games have a torturous history as movie adaptations, though with the onset of promising efforts like Assassin's Creed and Warcraft, many hoped that the age of the lazy, cynical cash-grab video game movie was done with. Not quite yet as 2015 proved, what with Pixels flagrantly abusing a fleet of beloved characters (most blatantly Q*Bert, who talks in annoying voice, wets himself and then gets turned into a woman who Josh Gad has sex with), and Hitman: Agent 47 being about as far away from stealth-driven action as it could possibly get. Hollywood still doesn't hold games to the same level of respect that they do comic books, though if any games can potentially smash that final barrier down, it's Assassin's Creed and Warcraft. Fingers crossed for 2016!
