13 Upcoming Comic Book Movies That Could Beat Batman V Superman

7. Thor: Ragnarok

Most Marvel fans agree that the first two Thor movies are among the weaker, three-star entries into the MCU, but it seems like they're pulling out all the stops for the third and potentially final one, Thor: Ragnarok, due November 3, 2017. Where to begin? It seems likely from the movie's title that the film will feature gigantic fire demon Surtur as its primary antagonist, while Cate Blanchett will apparently appear in another villainous role (perhaps as Surtur's chief underling), and on the heroic side, there's Loki (well, kinda) and The Hulk will also be stopping by. Though Stellan SkarsgÄrd has confirmed that he won't be in Thor 3, it's still up in the air as to whether or not the likes of Jane Foster and Darcy will be in the mix, though in honesty, given the rather piecemeal nature of their roles (and their divisive stature among fans), their exclusion could actually be another reason why Ragnarok could be a cut high above the previous two films. With so many popular elements in the fray, this has the potential to finally bring Thor up to the higher echelons of the MCU.
