2. Avatar 3, 4 & 5

Release Date: December 17, 2021, December 20, 2024, and December 19, 2025 respectively.

James Cameron is an absolute madman: that much is clear. While Avatar may be the current highest-grossing film of all time, it's not exactly left much of a stamp on pop-culture, and so audiences are pretty dubious about one sequel (currently due out in December 2020), let alone four.

Ideally, Cameron would focus on making one great sequel that addressed the original's problems before committing to shooting all four films simultaneously in what's surely the most ambitious, bats*** crazy cinematic undertaking of all time.

Could It Be Any Good?: It's never smart to bet against Cameron, but it really feels like he's bitten off more than he can chew here, so if a third, fourth and fifth Avatar movie do actually hit cinemas by the end of 2025, it's hard to believe they'll all be critically acclaimed and giant box office successes.

But everyone should be prepared to eat their words, because the King of the World has proven time and time again that he's not to be doubted.
