Release Date: August 7th The Plot: Though numerous fake plot summaries have been doing the rounds over the last few months, here are the concrete details that are known so far. Four youngsters end up teleporting to an alternate universe, where they earn the powers which turn them into The Invisible Woman (Kate Mara), Mr. Fantastic (Miles Teller), The Thing (Jamie Bell) and The Human Torch (Michael B. Jordan). Victor Von Doom has meanwhile been changed to Victor Domashev (Toby Kebbell), a computer programmer and blogger whose screen name is Doom. Yeah. Why It's Awful: It just seems like a very deliberate attempt has been made to deviate from some of the core elements of the source material, with the changes to Dr. Doom especially stirring comic book fans into a frenzy. It's been said by multiple sources that this is an effort to make the Fantastic Four gritty and grounded, but this isn't exactly Batman: it's meant to be silly and outrageous, and the filmmakers really need to embrace that.
