13 Upcoming Movies That Are Already Doomed (And Why)

Release Date: June 30, 2017 (for now)

Why It's Doomed: This kinda-reboot of the Amityville franchise, the first entry to get a theatrical release since 2005's Ryan Reynolds-starring entry, was filmed back in the summer of 2014 with a planned release date of January 2015, but was continually delayed due to horrendous test screenings and subsequent re-shoots as recent as last February.

Dimension Films knows this one's garbage, so their plan seems to be to dump it in the summer where it won't have much genre competition and hopefully can recoup its budget.

While the horror genre is notoriously good at returning the original investment regardless of quality, don't expect this one to kickstart a new theatrical franchise or score more than 10% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Jennifer Jason Leigh must still be crossing her fingers the movie never comes out.
