13 Upcoming Movies That Will Probably Get Cancelled

The Hype: Spawn creator Seth McFarlane plans to direct a "dark, R-rated" reboot of the iconic superhero he created, hoping to erase all those unpleasant memories of the bungled 1997 comic book adaptation.

Why It Won't Happen: For one, McFarlane hasn't ever directed a film before, so it doesn't seem likely he'll actually get to helm this one, and with the original movie being as infamous as it is, the property might ultimately be viewed as too radioactive to put into production.

Plus, McFarlane has been talking about this reboot for years and years without getting it going, so why would anything change now?

Why It Still Could: There's one big reason it might actually happen: Blumhouse. The incredibly successful horror film production company will be producing the film, and given their track record for releasing sensibly-budgeted films to considerable financial success, if anyone can actually get the film made without it sucking or bombing, it's probably them.
