13 Women Who Were Furious Before Furiosa

13. G.I.Jane

Demi Moore's G.I.Jane confronts the sexist and taboo issues of women being allowed to serve for their country on the front line. Jordan O'Neil (Jane) is the first woman to undergo training in the U.S Navy Special Warfare Group. Of course, she is representing all women throughout the SEAL programme and naturally, people don't want to see her succeed. Not only is she treated like one of the boys but she is eventually accepted by them and completes the course. However, after shaving her head as long hair is sort of impractical during training, she is accused of having an intimate relationship with another woman. Because shaving your head and being physically fit automatically makes you a lesbian, apparently. Ridley Scott's film proves that women are just as capable as men in military environments, you will always be intimidated by one handed push ups and quotes such as "suck my d*ck" is not to be taken literally, sort of.
