13 Worst Movie Performances Of 2018
7. Pierce Brosnan (Final Score)
This straight-to-VOD thriller stars Dave Bautista as a former soldier who must stop a terrorist attack at the West Ham football stadium. Yup.
Pierce Brosnan also appears as Dimitri Belav, a citizen of the fictional Russian state of Sakovya and the brother of the attack's perpetrator, Arkady Belav (Ray Stevenson).
Brosnan isn't in the movie much, but he sure gets plenty of hilariously hammy mileage out of his brief screen time, graduating straight from the Gary Oldman School of Terrible Russian Accents.
On one hand, Brosnan's completely wonky accent is ludicrously entertaining, but as a serious attempt to get into character, it falls completely flat.
Moreover, it's tough to understand what Brosnan's saying half the time because he garbles his pronunciation so thoroughly.
Would this "Die Hard in a football stadium" nonsense be as fun if Brosnan pulled off a straight performance? Absolutely not, but his slumming turn here is quite possibly the worst thing he's ever put his name to.
