13 Worst Performances In Otherwise Awesome Blockbusters

The Movie: Neil Blomkamp's second feature may not have lived up to the brilliance of his stunning debut District 9, but it sure did serve up gorgeous visuals, thrilling action and a riveting cast of characters.

The Performance: It's not clear if even Jodie Foster herself knew exactly what she was trying to achieve here. Her ridiculous, off-key performance as the movie's Big Bad sees her adopting a bizarre accent mashing up British, French and German into some sort of attempt at what a futuristic bureaucrat might sound like.

The end result is both hilarious and extremely off-putting all at once, due to Foster munching the scenery but having no clear handle on who her character is supposed to be, while it's also immediately apparent that much of her dialogue was re-dubbed (probably to try and sound slightly less inane) in post-production.
