13 Worst Performances In Otherwise Awesome Blockbusters

The Movie: The least water-tight (and certainly the most racist) of the original Indiana Jones trilogy, Temple of Doom is nevertheless a ludicrously entertaining adventure yarn with (mostly) stellar performances, riveting action and hilarious quick-fire wit.

The Performance: Even Capshaw herself has admitted that her sidekick-cum-love interest Willie Scott is "not much more than a dumb screaming blonde", though the way the character has written can only excuse her performance so much.

Capshaw leans into Willie's grating qualities and amplifies them with her shrill voice and ridiculous facial expressions, frequently detracting from what is otherwise a damn fun movie.

Of course, it would be remiss not to mention that Family Guy parody which suggests, "lady only here cause she humping director", as she and Spielberg met on the movie and later married. Spielberg, who famously disliked Temple, said, "the greatest thing that I got out of that was I met Kate Capshaw."

Shame he had to subject the world to her tinnitus-inducing bleating, though.
