14 Announced Movies That Are Never Coming Out

3. The Expendables 4

After The Expendables 3 underperformed at the box office due to that infuriating PG-13 rating, it seemed like the franchise was effectively dead in the water.

Nevertheless, Stallone announced in late 2016 that an R-rated Expendables 4 would be released in 2018, though a few months later he was reported to have quit the movie over creative disputes with the studio.

However, in early 2018 Stallone announced his return, with production apparently set to kick off early next year. Is there really any faith in a fourth movie doing much business, really?

EX3 seemed to poison the well for a lot of fans, and with the recent controversy surrounding Terry Crews effectively being victim-blamed out of the movie by producer Avi Lerner for going public with his sexual assault story, the PR just isn't working in the film's favour right now.

Plus, Stallone has a habit of dropping in and out of projects on a whim, and with production on Rambo V set to begin shortly, is he really going to be ready for an Expendables movie by early 2019, let alone after that?
