14 Announced Movies That Are Never Coming Out

2. Cyborg

Cyborg Hero Shot Justice League
Warner Bros.

The Cyborg solo movie was first announced in October 2014, with a release date later set for April 2020.

Word has been suspiciously low on the film for a long time, but given Justice League's troubled production, the movie's soft box office and a general audience indifference for the Cyborg character, it's not at all surprising.

There's no way in hell this movie's happening, basically. A big-budget Cyborg origin story is a massive financial gamble, especially without a charismatic lead actor heading the charge.

It may well have been quietly cancelled internally, honestly, and instead Cyborg will become a supporting player in another movie, most likely Flashpoint, as has already been suggested by some.

If you're seriously expecting Warner Bros. to throw money at Cyborg, you're dreaming.
