3. The Wachowski Sisters

The Wachowski Sisters may have suffered through some box office flops as of late, but nobody can take away the success of their Matrix trilogy, nor their penchant for crafting visually stunning and delightfully bonkers blockbusters.

The pair were in line to direct a Plastic Man movie in the mid-90s but it never came to fruition, and ever since it's been hard to shake the feeling that they'd absolutely nail a comic book film. After all, what is The Matrix if not basically a ridiculous superhero saga?

How Likely Is It?: After the Wachowskis delivered three extremely expensive box office duds in a row (Speed Racer, Cloud Atlas and Jupiter Ascending), it's become practically impossible to imagine any studio trusting them with a huge budget ever again, something the pair themselves even acknowledge.

Unless they make a fourth Matrix film first in order to restore their good will with Warner Bros., there's no chance this is happening. 2/10
