14 Awesome Directors Who Need A Superhero Movie

8. George Miller

George Miller is simply one of the most diverse filmmakers there is, having enjoyed success in the barmy brutality of the Mad Max franchise as well as family movies Babe and Happy Feet (and admittedly, their less successful sequels).

Miller has a storied history with comic book movies, very nearly getting to direct Justice League: Mortal around a decade ago before the project was scrapped due to the WGA strike and the success of The Dark Knight.

Since then his name has been frequently mentioned in the same breath as various superhero films, but nothing yet.

How Likely Is It?: Miller doesn't direct that many movies, and he's probably pre-occupied with getting the next Mad Max sequel made more than anything. Plus, he's already 72 years old, so the window is fast closing for him in this regard.
