Though Michelle MacLaren hasn't ever directed a feature film, she is one of the most acclaimed TV directors working today, having worked on the likes of The X-Files, Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Westworld and David Simon's new show The Deuce.

MacLaren was also the original choice to direct Wonder Woman, but left the project with the ever-familiar "creative differences" excuse. Still, her name routinely comes up whenever the prospect of a female superhero movie is mentioned, and with good reason.

How Likely Is It?: Very, especially with Wonder Woman's success likely causing studios to green-light many more female-led comic book movies over the next few years.

Unless her upcoming theatrical feature debut The Nightingale is some sort of colossal dud, she seems like a sure thing sooner or later. 8/10
