George Miller's incredible fourth entry into the Mad Max franchise is the rarest of sequels, a masterful action flick that's not only the best film in the series, but a rarest of sequels to be nominated for the Best Picture Oscar.

It took fans about three nanoseconds after the movie's release to start hassling Miller for a sequel, and honestly, why the hell not?

How Likely Is It?: Though Miller announced a sequel, Mad Max: The Wasteland, shortly after Fury Road came out, the project has sadly become wrapped in red tape, as Miller is currently suing Warner Bros. for reportedly not paying royalties owed from the success of Fury Road.

This is a particularly frustrating set of circumstances considering Miller's age: he turns 73 in a few months and won't be able to shoot a movie of Mad Max's intensity forever more.

As much as basically everyone with a pulse wants to see this happen, Miller's never been a speedy filmmaker and these legal issues only further make it hard to believe The Wasteland will ever materialise, especially as the film was a pretty modest box office success. 4/10
