14 Cameos In Huge Movies You Probably Missed

1. Janet Leigh - Halloween: H20

And finally, here's a cameo that flew over the heads of all but the most switched-on horror fans, whether you saw the movie on release or watched it more recently.

In the surprisingly decent seventh Halloween movie, protagonist Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) is accidentally scared by her secretary, Norma Watson, an elderly woman who you'd probably never guess was played by the one and only, Janet Leigh, aka Marion Crane from Alfred Hitchcock's classic horror Psycho. Having not acted in theatrically-released movies consistently since the 1960s, this was a huge surprise.

It's no mere random cameo, though: Leigh is in fact Curtis' real-life mother, and the scene also sees Leigh driving the very same car from Psycho (with the very same license plate), and a musical cue is directly pulled from the movie.

Throw in a joke about jump scares and Norma offering some "maternal advice", and you have the recipe for a terrifically entertaining meta-horror scene that really just seems a bit weird if you're not in the know.

Which secret, hidden cameos do you love the most? Got any other awesome ones to share? Shout them out in the comments!
