Deadpool is never more on form with his references than when he turns up at the X-Mansion and is greeted by Negasonic. "Oh, hey, it's Ripley from Alien 3." Negasonic, who couldn't be more water-off-a-duck's-back, simply retorts... "You're old." What's great about the movie isn't just Deadpool's wisecracker-y, but the solid repartee with which he engages with those around him. Everybody manages to keep up. Apart from maybe Gina Carano, who just punches him in the face a lot.
