3. Harrison Ford, Sidney Poitier & Kim Novak's Senior Moments
Something you can bet on like clockwork is that the Oscars sees a lot of Hollywood's elderly elite come out of the woodwork to pay tribute to the rising stars of today, and this can often result in, for want of a better phrase, senior moments. We can all remember Kirk Douglas struggling to mumble his way through an overlong monologue a few years ago, though at the same time, one can argue that a man of his age and stature has earned to right to live life at his own pace...though perhaps not at an awards show. There were three major awkward moments of the night: reclusive Vertigo star Kim Novak mumbling through an introductory speech (while many on Twitter remarked that she appeared to have had plastic surgery), Harrison Ford appearing to be either baked, tired or extremely bored while taking the stage, and Sidney Poitier struggling to read the auto-cue. Thankfully these moments didn't drag on too long, but the length they lasted was more than enough to cause worldwide cringing.
