14 Most Disappointing Movies From Summer 2015

10. Entourage

Why It's Disappointing: In fairness, fans probably didn't expect much more than a relatively safe extension of the HBO TV series, but even so, there wasn't exactly much effort put into this long-awaited big-screen adaptation. Writer-director Doug Ellin struggles to justify the film's existence by contriving a bunch of drama for every character, resulting in yet another horrible "will they, won't they?" romantic storyline between E and Sloane, while the film attempts to lean heavily on its conveyor belt of cameos to paper over the fact it barely has a plot. Entertaining to a point? Absolutely, though in 2015, the casual sexism and vapidness just doesn't feel adequate to give this film a reason to exist. How To Improve It: Dial up the geeky film references and Hollywood satire big time, cut Sloane out of the film completely because she's annoying as hell, and focus more on Vinny's production of Hyde, which isn't really given any significant attention at all until the end of the movie. Also, more Haley Joel Osment, because he's surprisingly effective here as the sleazy son of a businessman, and give the characters a send-off that feels actually final this time.
