11. Darth Maul

A lot of Star Wars fans still view Darth Maul as a monument to failed potential, but it's hard to argue with the Sith Lord's extremely unsettling look, not to mention his expert combat skill with a dual-bladed lightsaber.

The first apprentice of Darth Sidious, Maul was a man of few words, but his actions certainly spoke volumes, with his incredible agility and the fact he did a damn fine job fending off both Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan at the end of The Phantom Menace.

His crowning achievement, of course, is killing Qui-Gon (before being bested by Obi-Wan, admittedly), and though many feel that the character probably should've lived to return in the other prequel movies, he still made an undeniable impact and remains one of the series' most creepy and physically imposing villains.
