8. Count Dooku

Count Dooku was an extremely potent Force user despite his advanced age, having worked as an apprentice under Yoda in his younger days, before teaming up with Palpatine to perfect his application of the Force following the death of his former apprentice, Qui-Gon Jinn.

Dooku's power is no better evident than him being able to fend off both Obi-Wan and Anakin, even slicing the latter's arm off, before battling and holding his own against Yoda moments later (though ultimately fleeing), and even employing use of Force lightning. Pretty good, right?

As an immensely skilled Force user and master swordsman, Dooku had few equals in combat, and though he ultimately ended up a pawn in Palpatine's scheme to turn Anakin to the Dark Side, he put up an admirable fight before having his hands and head sliced off.
