14 Most Terrifying Moments From Alien Films
6. If You Put A Xenomorph In Water... (Alien: Resurrection)
Ripley 8, alongside the remaining survivors on-board the USM Auriga, are making their way through the damaged space vessel when they find part of the way flooded.
As they swim through the submerged kitchen, the only issue confronting them is whether everyone will be able to hold their breaths, for what must be said, is a considerable amount of time. But that's suddenly the least of their problems when Johner (a hilarious, kick-ass Ron Perlman) turns in terror to see two Xenomorph's fast approaching.
When the aliens first come into view, it seems as though the one in front is smiling in a sinister manner when it eagerly spots the ragtag bunch of survivors. It also has pretty good underwater reflexes to dodge Johner's gunshot. Quite frankly in this unenviable situation, it's no contest between drowning peacefully or being taken by a Xenomorph.
Panic ensues as a relatively respite swim switches to a mad dash for survival. Ripley 8 hangs behind to hurry them all through, apart from poor old Hillard. The sole alien could quite easily of nabbed her earlier, but could it instead of been taking sickening pleasure in seeing Hillard scramble in desperation before getting bored toying with her and finally grabbing her ankle?
To be honest it's her fault for swimming at such a leisurely pace in the first place like in some communal pool.
