14 Movie Franchises You Had No Idea Still Existed

1993's cult action thriller Sniper inexplicably kick-started a franchise that has been a lucrative gravy train for stars Tom Berenger and Billy Zane ever since (though they've sat out a few installments each).

The movies are unapologetic schlock but serve their audience well enough, and it's probably fair to say that the series thrives on being picked up in bargain bins by truckers with nothing better to spend their cash on.

The seventh entry into the franchise, Sniper: Ultimate Kill, came out late last year, and as long as either Berenger or Zane is around and willing to take part, there's not really any reason to stop churning them out.

They've got their niche audience - with Zane's involvement probably inviting a decent amount of ironic viewing - and are apparently doing well enough.
