5. Children Of The Corn

We might be in the midst of a Stephen King cinematic renaissance at the moment, but there's a franchise based on a King work that's been quietly chipping away for over 30 years: Children of the Corn.

They're terrible movies, yet that hasn't stopped nine entries being released so far - only the first two of which were released theatrically - with the tenth film, Children of the Corn: Runaway, due out later this year.

Apparently people keep buying them, because they haven't gone the ultra-cheap Hellraiser route yet, even though you probably had no idea there were more than two or three sequels.
