14 Movie Franchises You Had No Idea Still Existed

9. Bring It On

After 2000's cult classic cheerleading comedy Bring It On was a stonking box office success, it's surprising it took four years for a sequel to materialise, ultimately going straight-to-video when original stars Kirsten Dunst and Eliza Dushku couldn't be lured back.

All of the sequels to date have been destroyed by critics, most recently last year's sixth film, the preposterously-monikered Bring It On: Worldwide Cheersmack.

The sequels have managed to secure some surprisingly big names over the years, though, including Felicia Day, Hayden Panettiere, Solange Knowles, Rihanna, Ashley Benson, Ashley Tisdale, Christina Milian and Vivica A. Fox.

Teenage girls and their parents have deep pockets, so while last year's movie was the first in eight years, don't be surprised if the series continues to endure as a straight-to-Netflix mainstay from this point.
