14 Movie Trailers That Spoiled Awesome Plot Twists

Alfonso Cuaron's masterful thriller about a grim dystopian future where fertility is dwindling builds up to a terrific end-of-act-one reveal, where protagonist Theo (Clive Owen) learns that Kee (Clare-Hope Ashitey), the female refugee he's helping transport, is the first pregnant woman in almost two decades.

It's a wonderful moment, especially if you have no idea it's coming, but perhaps because of the riskiness of the premise, Universal decided to give this narrative hook away in trailers.

Given that it happens fairly early in the movie there are admittedly far worse marketing crimes to commit - as evidenced by the rest of this list - but a lot of the moment's emotion and punchiness is severely diminished if you weren't lucky enough to go into the movie blind.
