This is frequently cited as the ultimate love story, in my view it just makes one all the more thankful of loneliness. I appreciate that Jack and Rose are madly in love but is this really how fast it progresses? Let's think about this, at the very most, Jack and Rose knew one another for 4 days, come on, a game of cricket lasts longer than that. Forgive me for being a buzz kill but does true love really mean that after just 4 days I have to die for someone? That hardly seems fair, I probably wouldn't have even properly memorized her birthday by then. I always thought love was something that grew and slowly took you over, but in Titanic it's something that smacks you in the face and forces you to be an idiot. Had these two never met they probably would have both made it out alive, I apologize in advance for liking being alive but I was under the impression that that was normal.
