I was only able to put myself through the first Twilight film before deciding that I'd sooner fight Mike Tyson with both arms tied behind my back and my shoes glued to the floor than watch the rest of them. Quite worryingly, teenage girls and for some ungodly reason - 40 year-old women - say that this film makes them want a boyfriend, what's wrong with these people? I'm no expert but I'm pretty certain that Edward's treatment of Bella ticks all the boxes of an abusive relationship, let's have a quick browse, shall we? He watches her sleep, influences her decisions with guilt and vampire powers, forces her to make ridiculously unfair choices and impregnates her without even telling her that it's possible. Meeting Edward pretty much ruined Bella's life, unless you're into having your evil vampire baby claw its way out of your womb, and more power to you if you are. Sorry but this is not a romantic franchise and if I were a girl it would probably put me off boys for quite some time.
