14 Predictions For Next Summer's Biggest Movies
13. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Is The Best Entry Since The First
The Prediction: The upcoming fifth Jurassic Park movie is, for the little it's really worth, the best entry into the franchise since the 1993 original, receiving the strongest reviews and, more importantly, being more warmly-received by fans than 2015's divisive Jurassic World.
After all, it's got the extremely talented J. A. Bayona (The Impossible, A Monster Calls) directing and boasts a returning Jeff Goldblum alongside new cast members James Cromwell, Toby Jones, Rafe Spall and Ted Levine, so what's not to like?
Why It Might Not Happen: Bayona and his cast will be at the mercy of a script from two of the previous film's writers, Colin Trevorrow (who also directed Jurassic World) and Derek Connolly, which is, well, a bit worrying.
Plus, with the film apparently having a significant animal rights angle, it's possible that transplanting such a current, real-world idea onto dinosaurs could end up feeling ham-fisted and unintentionally comical.
