Though Wonder Woman was the franchise's first sure-fire success, it's undeniable that the future of the DCEU is hinging entirely on how well Justice League performs with audiences.

That's a pretty scary prospect, that this entire house of cards could collapse depending on the quality of a movie that's suffered through a troubled production history.

Yes, a second Wonder Woman movie can get made regardless, but for the overall franchise to have any real forward-momentum, Justice League needs to make at least $800 million worldwide, or Warner Bros. will likely put the brakes on a lot of their future plans.

For the DCEU to exist in the form everyone wants it to, it all comes down to audiences not being overly burned by BvS and actually turning out for DC's version of The Avengers.
