13. Dr. Eldon Tyrell - Blade Runner

Now let me get this straight. You're the head CEO/owner/head genetic designer for the corporation that makes human replicants. A Blade Runner, or bounty hunter who retires (murders) replicants comes to see you about some lethal human look-alikes who have managed to make it back to Earth despite the danger of being retired for some unknown purpose. Then a guy who works for you that's not exactly your good friend shows up in the middle of the night saying he can beat you at chess and you let him in without first clearing it with somebody? Everyone in Blade Runner always mentions Tyrell to be a genius, but when put like it was above he seems to be more like an idiot or a man with a very huge god-complex (exactly what Ridley Scott was going for). For sure the last thing that ran through his mind as Rutger Hauer's Roy Batty crushed his skull with his bare hands was, "Oh God! Why didn't I have a security guard clear them or check the camera at least?" Throughout the movie it is shown repeatedly that people can either check who is at their door or who is calling them by viewing the other person through a screen. Why, under the suspcious circumstances wouldn't a man like Tyrell do that? What an idiot.
