12. Young Obi-Wan Kenobi Demanding To Train Anakin - Star Wars Prequels
You have to crash land a ship carrying the Queen of Naboo in the desert of Tatooine, a nasty backwater planet controlled by gangster slugs. Your master wittedly takes a retarded frog and young girl into town while leaving you there to do practically nothing, but babysit the queen. Then he comes back with a small annoying boy and says he is the chosen one. Then your master dies. You promise to fulfill his wishes and train the kid even though all the other Jedi masters say it is a bad idea. The crazy thing is that you don't even like the kid. He's annoying. Why does Obi-Wan train Anakin? The sad truth about the whole thing is that because he did Obi-Wan in a way is responsible for the Galactic Empire coming to power. His training Anakin meant that little Annie was there to chop off Windu's hand thus ensuring the Emperor lived and helped him to destroy all the Jedi. In a big way everything bad that happens in Star Wars is all Obi-Wan's fault. Here's another question: If the galaxy is being run by the Jedi Knights and the Jedi are a peaceful group of formidable arbiters who use the force for good then how does bringing balance to the force make sense? How is it a good idea to bring balance to something that is already working okay? If it ain't broken don't fix it. And don't train young punks to yield the force powerfully when all the masters tell you its a bad idea either. Come on Kenobi.
