14 Upcoming Movie Sequels Nobody Asked For

12. Annabelle 2

Pirates Of The Caribbean Dead Men Tell No Tales
Warner Bros. Pictures

Release Date: May 19, 2017

No movie makes over $250 million at the box office on a $6.5 million budget without the studio forcing a needless sequel down audience's throats, and so we have Annabelle 2.

The 2014 horror flick could have been an entertaining contemporary spin on the Child's Play formula, but instead opted for a bland spin-off from The Conjuring that took itself way, way too seriously.

The sequel will most likely cost a pittance, and even if it only made half of what the original did, it'd still be enough to justify a third one. These movies aren't going anywhere.

Could It Be Any Good?: Highly doubtful, because how often are horror movie sequels any good? More to the point, how often are horror sequels any good when the original was an absolute dumpster fire?
