Why It Should Suck: Well, Batman v Superman was a total mess, and with Justice League's production suffering through the departure of Zack Snyder and replacement by Joss Whedon, it would surprise just about nobody if the end product was all over the place.

Best to keep your expectations low and see how it goes, really.

Why It Might Be Awesome: Warner Bros. has made it abundantly clear that Justice League will jettison the grimdark tone of the earlier DCEU movies and opt for something more funny and hopeful, in step with the tenor of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Also, Joss Whedon's involvement will most certainly help in this regard, and his encyclopedic superhero knowledge should help the film hew a little more faithfully to the popular conceptions of these characters. Plus, he's great at writing women, which is extremely important given the greater focus the movie will reportedly place on Wonder Woman.

It's probably safer to expect Justice League to be merely decent, but given how Wonder Woman shocked everyone with its near-universal acclaim, could this prevail through its tremendous adversity?
