Release Date: October 20

The Plot: A dramatisation of the 2013 Yarnell Hill Fire in Arizona, which killed 19 members of the Granite Mountain Hotshots, the firefighters dispatched to tackle the blaze.

Why You'll Cry: The combination of a devastating true story, director talented at handling effects-heavy action (Tron: Legacy and Oblivion's Joseph Kosinski) and all-star cast (including Josh Brolin, Miles Teller, Jeff Bridges, James Badge Dale, Taylor Kitsch and Jennifer Connelly) makes this one an emotional slam dunk.

Even if the script approaches the disaster in the most dramatically conventional means, actors this good are going to ensure that audiences are attached to the team heading in, and no doubt be crestfallen when some of them inevitably don't make it home.

Kosinski's movies to date haven't been particularly emotional, but with a script co-written by Black Hawk Down's Ken Nolan, it's likely to be an extremely visceral and intense, character-driven effort.
