11. Jack Black - Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween

The Role: Creepy, eccentric Goosebumps author R.L. Stine, whose written creations have a habit of coming to life.

Now, this one's especially strange as Sony won't actually clarify whether or not Jack Black is actually in the Goosebumps sequel. Various reports have indicated that Black may or may not be in the film, with most recent accounts claiming that, indeed, he will appear in cameo form as Stine.

Considering that Black also voiced the living dummy Slappy in the previous movie and that voice role has been recast for this sequel, though, it's becoming increasingly clear that Black's involvement will be minimal at most.

Given the surprising charm Black lent to the first film, the sequel's going to suffer immeasurably if his role is confined to a couple of minutes ahead of the final battle. Boo.

Then again, maybe he's not in it at all, which would be even worse.
