2. Every Reality Show

Big Brother, X-Factor, Survivor, Keeping up with the Kardashians and so on are the bane of contemporary television. They're usually much faster and cheaper to produce than fiction-based shows, require less critical thought, and are inexplicably popular ratings-wise. Though the likes of Big Brother and Survivor were interesting experiments for a few seasons, they ran their course long ago, even if they still remain popular with...somebody...somewhere. This one's wishful thinking because, when you've got a cash cow, why would you dare shoot it in the head? These shows are the creative bottom of the barrel, but there's an entire generation of teenagers glued to their screens, putting even more cash into Kim Kardashian's already extremely deep pockets. Still, discerning viewers everywhere would be better off if these trashy shows were axed overnight (but it won't happen).
