14 Washed-Up TV Shows In Desperate Need Of Cancellation

12. Grey's Anatomy

To its credit, despite recently beginning its 11th season, Grey's Anatomy still regularly pulls in 8-10 million viewers per episode, which while less than half its peak figures, is still impressive for a show that's been on the air for so long. In fairness, Grey's Anatomy has never been a great show, though it's easy to see how it became such a ratings hit early on in its life, what with its arrival just as ER was beginning to wind down (and its characters were no longer young and sexy). Even with Patrick Dempsey's iconic McDreamy working a thorough charm offensive throughout the show's history, Grey's is subject to the same trappings that assail pretty much every medical or hospital-set drama: the plot-lines quickly became increasingly ridiculous (who can forget the absurd yet entertaining Code Black episode?), and the characters have simply been given little of interest to do for so long. Unsurprisingly, as actors have left the show (such as Katherine Heigl), producers have attempted to fill the void with fresh new faces, mostly in vain. With its lame soap opera romances and dull drama, it's about time the show was put out of its misery.
