1. The X-Force Massacre - Deadpool 2

And finally, we have the gut-bustingly hilarious sequence from Deadpool 2 where the X-Force is introduced and, uh, mostly written out.

After Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) and Weasel (T.J. Miller) hold auditions, the team parachutes out of a plane in order to assault a convoy holding Russell (Julian Dennison), and things don't go well for most of them.

Bedlam (Terry Crews) is hit by a bus, Shatterstar (Lewis Tan) flies into a helicopter rotor and is reduced to green goo, Vanisher is electrocuted on a power line (briefly revealing that he's played by Brad Pitt), Zeitgeist (Bill Skarsgård) gets fed into a wood chipper and poor Peter (Rob Delaney) is melted by Zeitgeist's acid vomit while trying to save him.

The only ones to make it to the ground, in fact, are Deadpool and Domino (Zazie Beetz), the latter's luck powers allowing her to safely crash-land on a giant inflatable panda.

Considering the marketing played-up the team-based aspect of this sequel, to see it thrown completely out the window and played for laughs was the summer's most outrageously demented blockbuster surprise.
