Emily Browning rose to fame in a young adult adaptation (A Series Of Unfortunate Events) and made the transition to more "adult" fare in what was essentailly a young adult fantasy (Sucker Punch), so you wouldn't be surprised if she wanted to go in a different career direction. Still, she did read a couple of times for The Hunger Games, clearly not dissatisfied enough (she almost quit acting after the Lemony Snicket film) to pass on a massive opportunity. Although by the actress' own admission she wasn't that bothered to miss out, having never read the books and being rather blaze about the whole series. Bet she feels differently now. This wasn't Browning's first brush with young adult adaptations - author Stephanie Meyer pegged her as her favourite to play Bella Swan in Twilight, but the actress declined an audition, at that point not wanting to commit to a franchise.
