The third actor in the trio of possible Finnicks rumoured by E!, Taylor Kitsch would have been an interesting addition, considerably older than the character (and cast actor Sam Claflin). While he may have benefited the film, the real boost would have been to the actor's waning career. Kitsch looked set to be the next big thing, but some utterly disastrous career decisions have hurt him - 2012 was a particularly bad time, with lead roles in box office bomb John Carter and critical hate-object Battleship leading to very few roles in the years since. But, as with Hedlund, it wasn't past form that got in the way, but his schedule - one of his few recent projects, Lone Survivor, was filming at the same time as Catching Fire.
