James Remar is one of those actors who's done a bit of everything. He's starred in over 150 projects, including Dexter, Sex and the City, Ben 10, and The Warriors. He was also supposed to play Hicks in James Cameron's Aliens, but was kicked out days after principal photography began. Cameron then offered the role to Michael Biehn, who he had worked with before on The Terminator. Biehen accepted and was on the set of Aliens three days later.

For many years, the official story was Remar walked away from the film due to a personal matter. In reality, he was busted for drug possession. Thankfully, Remar was able to get clean, patch things up with Cameron, and have a prolific acting career.

However, Remar is still in the finished film. When the marines arrive at the Xenomorph nest, Remar appears for one shot. Because of the angle, it's impossible to tell it's him so Cameron didn't reshoot the scene with Biehn.
