15 Awesome Death Scenes In Otherwise Terrible Movies

13. Everyone Dies - Ghost Ship

And the award for the movie that peaked the earliest goes to the naff 2002 horror flick Ghost Ship, which opens with a magnificent sequence set on-board the fateful titular ocean liner during the 1960s.

While the ship's patrons are happily dancing on deck, an unknown hand pulls a lever which unravels a spool of razor wire surrounding the ship.

The wire gets pulled taut as it unravels and cuts through everyone on the deck. They all get a few moments to realise what's happened before they start falling over in pieces, all while a girl who was too short to be cut by the wire, played by a young Emily Browning, has to witness all the horror unfold on her lonesome.

It's clear so much effort was put into getting this scene right, but the rest of the movie? Let's be honest: you probably don't remember a single other scene.
