14. Welcome To Me
Release Date: May 1 The Plot: Alice Klieg (Kristen Wiig) suffers from Borderline Personality Disorder but, when she wins the lottery, she quits her meds and realises her dreams of fame by funding her own cable access talk show. Why It's Going To Be Awesome: Reviews out of the Toronto Film Festival last September were largely strongly positive, with most critics praising Wiig's outstanding performance, which is said to be another dramatic notch for the actress (who also did fine work in last year's The Skeleton Twins). With what's sure to be both an intriguing character study and a timely satire of a media-saturated culture, Welcome to Me has the potential to be yet another breakthrough part for Wiig who, for those interested, goes full-frontal for the first time in her career. If that's not enough, she's joined by a talented supporting cast including James Marsden, Linda Cardellini, Wes Bentley, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Alan Tudyk, Tim Robbins, Joan Cusack and likeable up-and-comer Thomas Mann.
