15 Awful Films Justice League Actors Want You To Forget
3. Every Day (2010) - Ezra Miller
RottenTomatoes Score: 33% The Plot: A mid-life crisis dramedy following Ned (Liev Schreiber), his wife Jeannie (Helen Hunt), her father Ernie (Brian Dennehy) and the couple's gay son Jonah (Miller). Why It Sucks: In fairness to Ezra Miller (who will be playing The Flash in Justice League), the guy has only a few "rotten" movies in his filmography, and this is the lowest-rated, though by no fault of his own. In fact, even those who didn't like the film have given a measure of praise to Miller for taking a potentially rote, baity character and making him feel like a well-rounded person. It's just a shame that everything around him doesn't follow the same lead. The frequent complaints about Every Day have been that it feels rushed, has a TV-like aesthetic (back when that term used to be a bad thing), and that it's simply not that easy to sympathise with the array of "middle class problem" on display, except of course, for Miller's work. The film came out shortly before Miller hit it big with We Need to Talk About Kevin, so he probably won't be too devastated that it's been pretty much forgotten since.
Stay at home dad who spends as much time teaching his kids the merits of Martin Scorsese as possible (against the missus' wishes).
