15 Awful Films Mission Impossible Actors Want You To Forget
6. Fled (1996) - Laurence Fishburne
RottenTomatoes Score: 13% The Plot: After all hell breaks loose inside a prison, inmates Charles Piper (Fishburne) and Luke Dodge (Stephen Baldwin), who are shackled together, escape jail as the authorities attempt to chase them down. Hi-jinks ensue. Why It Sucks: A tired spin on the racially opposed buddy movie, Fled moves at a relatively breezy pace but just brings not a single new or good idea to the table, leaning back on long-exhausted genre tropes. The plot, concerned with a computer disk, feels totally beside the point, while the action is repetitive and the banter between the two focal characters largely witless. At least Fishburne found The Matrix soon after wrapping this film, and the rest is history. As for Baldwin? Just pray that he was paid a princely sum for 2000's The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas.
Stay at home dad who spends as much time teaching his kids the merits of Martin Scorsese as possible (against the missus' wishes).
