7. Truth About Love (2005) - Dougray Scott

RottenTomatoes Score: 0% The Plot: After receiving a Valentine's Day card through the mail that she believes to be from her husband, Alice (Jennifer Love Hewitt) sends one to him also, only to discover that the original Valentine wasn't from him, but instead her husband's best friend, Archie (Scott). When her husband doesn't mention the Valentine she sent him, Alice begins to suspect that he may be cheating. Why It Sucks: A head-smackingly cliched romantic "comedy" that features thoroughly irritating characters and a premise it so desperately wants to be cute that's really just awkward, Truth About Love certainly earns its 0% critical approval rating. In addition to being boring and predictable, Hewitt's attempt at an English accent is howlingly bad, and like pretty much everyone else in the movie, Scott frequently gives line readings that suggest his mind is elsewhere. It even includes a last-minute run to stop Scott from getting a train out of Alice's life, ensuring that no tired cliche is left unturned. Utterly horrible.
