15 Awful Films Terminator Actors Want You To Forget
12. Kalamity (2010) - Nick Stahl
RottenTomatoes Score: 0% The Plot: Billy (Stahl) is reeling from an unpleasant breakup with a girlfriend, and as he reunites with his buddy Stan (Jonathan Jackson), he learns that his friend's recent breakup has been even more harsh. When Stan's ex-girlfriend then disappears and his behaviour becomes increasingly erratic, the pair find their friendship put to the ultimate test. Why It Sucks: Quite what actors of Stahl and Robert Forster's caliber are doing in a film this obvious and absurd is anyone's guess, but Kalamity struggles to raise much interest throughout its run-time, because the whole thing just feels like such an unnecessary also-ran. Grimy thrillers like this are a dime a dozen, and none of them really command talented Hollywood actors, so it's no surprise that the two aforementioned performers in particular can barely mask how evidently snoozy they find the script. If you're expecting the seemingly too-obvious resolution to take a significant left-turn in the third act, you're going to be massively underwhelmed. There's just not much to see here, and while it's the low-point of Stahl's career, he pretty much peaked all the way back with Terminator 3 anyway. After enjoying acclaim for his transformative role in 2005's Sin City, he's only had one positively-reviewed movie (My One and Only), in which he only played a supporting part no less.
